Research on SMOKING VS VAPING

Smoking and vaping are two popular methods of consuming nicotine and other substances. Both practices have their unique characteristics and potential health implications. In this brief introduction, we will explore the key differences between smoking and vaping, shedding light on the advantages and disadvantages of each method.

Research shows that bell jars filled with tobacco smoke-stained cotton turned dark brown, with their tubes filled with thick tar, mimicking the conditions that occur in the lungs when inhaling tobacco smoke. In contrast, the cotton inside the bell jar of an electronic cigarette remained almost unchanged, despite minor imperfections caused by the colors of vapor and liquid.

Dr. Shahab, Associate Professor of Health and Psychology at University College London, further stated, "Research indicates that electronic cigarettes are much less harmful than smoking, and long-term use of e-cigarettes is relatively safe, similar to using approved nicotine products such as patches or gum."
